Here’s What to Do After an Accident
If you’ve been involved in an accident in which someone else was at fault it is important to remember that you have no legal requirement or other obligation to speak with the insurance company of the other party. The party at fault’s insurance carrier may contact you soon after an accident to get a statement as to what happened and whether you’ve been injured. Beware, as they are looking for whatever information which they can later use in defense of your claim. You would be best served by contacting counsel as soon as possible after the accident. Once counsel is retained the insurance company can no longer contact you directly. If you have questions, call Mitch Drantch today.
